Can I change my eating habits with Hypnotherapy / Hypnosis?The short answer is, Yes. We develop eating habits (or for that matter, any habit) over time. Some habits are formed quickly, others over a longer period. For instance, you may start liking or disliking certain types of foods. You then eat subconsciously. That means without conscious awareness of what is good or bad for you. Once you become aware that you want to change your eating habits, that you want to eat more healthily, or that you want to eat certain types of foods but you simply have an aversion or a fear about eating such foods, or that you want to reduce or stop eating unhealthy foods, that's the first step. Once you have that awareness and you really want to change, Hypnotherapy / Hypnosis normally works very well to bring your subconscious and your conscious to work in harmony for your highest good. The above refers to eating habits or just the fear of eating certain foods, etc.. and is NOT about eating disorders (for which you must seek medical advice). In any event, it's always a good idea to consult your medical doctor before undertaking any complementary therapy. |
